Project Manager - Engineering
Dennis Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager - Engineering for our Greater Toronto Area office.
About the Job
You will be responsible for managing multi-discipline project teams to ensure completed product/service is delivered on-time and within budget. This position is client facing and a successful candidate will be a professional, self-motivated, and energetic individual with excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
Manage project development from initiation to closure
Development of project scope, budget and schedule
Management of project execution, including design only and design-build projects
Preparation of bid packages, bid tabulation, and contract negotiations for site/facility and process/packaging systems
Coordinate and authorize all job correspondence
Support industry trade shows and sales calls
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with an engineering, consulting, or design firm
5+ years as a Project Manager with proven track record of successful project management
Candidates without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree will not be considered
Demonstrated success delivering numerous projects delivered on time, meeting requirements, with high team satisfaction.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail, accuracy and deadlines
The following are considered a plus, but not required:
Experience in process packaging, or facilities engineering within the Food & Beverage industry
MBA, Professional Engineering License, or PMP certification
Spanish or Portuguese language skills
Travel to client and equipment manufacturer locations will be required of this position. Candidates should expect overnight travel not less than 25% of the year.
